Hungarian producer Dodo has just released his meditative new single ‘SHINOBAZU’ featuring the vocalist Zsüd.
The track is a sonic slice of alternative electronica inspired by the rainy and murky streets of Japan. It’s a fresh aesthetic approach to Dodo’s constantly evolving work, taking trip-hop elements and laying them on a foundation of haunting psychedelia.
Dodo says, “Shinobazu is my favourite track yet. It’s exciting because I’ve got to work with the insanely talented Zsüd. I wrote it on a hazy morning and finished the basic structure one the same day. I think it’s a pretty thrilling track”
Dodo is the brainchild of the 21-year-old musician Dominik Lacziko Succhiatti, who has an immense passion for music. Spending his teens writing songs and playing in bands, he eventually formed and managed the group Wrepperz, who cut their teeth supporting bands and touring the local festival circuit. Now focusing on his music under the guise of Dodo, he has been named as one of the most exciting rising producers by influential Hungarian publication KERET.
With more singles to come, Dodo also joins Black Midi and Shy Girl on the line-up for the Hungarian alternative festival Kolorádó later this summer.
