Norwegian singer/songwriter Sigrid has enlisted British hitmaker Jack Garratt to rework her debut single‘Don’t Kill My Vibe’. Out now via Island, Jack’s version of the track joins the already released Gryffin remix.
An example of his cleverly-crafted production style, Jack’s uptempo rendition flaunts an eclectic bassline and fuzzy piano chords, underpinning Sigrid’s emotive vocal performance.
20-year-old Sigrid began making music after listening to the likes of Neil Young, Joni Mitchell and Adele. Captivated by their songwriting skills, Sigrid started to fine-tune her musical talents and released her debut single ‘Don’t Kill My Vibe’ this year. The anthemic track became BBC Radio 1’s ‘Hottest Record in The World’ and immediately gained millions of plays on Spotify. With an upcoming EP and a string of live dates in the pipeline this year, Sigrid is ready to make her mark on the international music scene with her distinct vocal prowess.
Jack Garratt launched himself into the mainstream in 2016 with his single ‘Worry’, which has now hit over 45 million Spotify streams to date. The infectious single landed Jack in several ‘Ones to Watch’ lists, ultimately leading him to win the ‘Critics’ Choice’ category at the 2016 BRIT Awards and the BBC Sound Poll of 2016. Jack released his debut album Phase in the same year, which received critical acclaim. The album debuted in the Top 5 of the UK Albums Chart and has been certified silver in the UK.
