Never one to rush things, Dutch powerhouse duo Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano have taken their time in delivering the follow-up to last year’s massive Horny Bounce for Armada. Their quality-not-quantity approach has once again yielded some very juicy fruit in the form of Don’t Make Me Wait—their thumping new jam that harks back to their old skool house roots.
A serious peak time belter, Don’t Make Me Wait is packed with classic house elements and motifs that help it deliver a heavyweight punch. The track focuses around a deliciously gurgling 303-style acid line that Josh Wink himself would be proud of, filtering up and shifting resonance as the track builds towards its crescendos. This manic riff is paired with a soaring diva style vocal line, crunchy, distorted percussion and deft swathes of FX to amp up the energy, with pounding cymbal rides and massive snare roll builds add more power still. All these choice elements are sequenced and structured in perfect fashion to deliver maximum impact, and it’s without a doubt one of their strongest tracks to date.
This one looks set to receive support from a very wide range of DJs, with the likes of Pete Tong and David Guetta both getting on board as early adopters. Coming hot on the heels of their tribal rework of Acivii’s Pure Grinding, it rounds off another big summer for these two homegrown heroes in spectacular style.
