Dr. Motte Celebrates 40 Years of Techno, Culture and Change

In 2025, Berlin icon Dr. Motte marks 40 years behind the decks. This milestone highlights not only his deep influence on electronic music but also his lifelong commitment to unity, freedom and cultural activism.

Known worldwide as the founder of the original Love Parade in 1989, Dr. Motte has always believed that techno is more than sound. It is a movement with the power to connect people and inspire transformation. His latest initiative, Rave The Planet, returns to Berlin on July 12 with a clear message that electronic music deserves recognition and protection as cultural heritage.

His DJ sets continue to evolve with raw energy and emotional clarity, guided by a love for discovery and human connection. Four decades in, his message is as relevant as ever. Don’t stop. Keep moving. And stay true to who you are, beyond trends, hype or algorithms.
