Drake Announces “More Life,” New Project Dropping In December
To begin tonight's birthday episode of OVO Sound Radio, Drake has announced a new project, "More Life," set for release in December.
It's gonna be one of those nights when Drake decides to have a little fun on OVO Sound Radio and everything else in the rap world gets ignored. He turns 30 tomorrow, and in honor of the momentous occasion, he's decided to host tonight's episode of OVO Sound Radio and make sure the show has more than a few surprises. Taking to the air before starting the music, he's already confirmed that there will be more — perhaps many more — than one new track premiered tonight. There hasn't been one just yet, though during his opening monologue, he did reveal that he's planning to drop a new project, entitled More Life, in December.
Drake seemed to suggest that the project will be more akin to a mixtape than an album, though he primarily referred to More Life as a "playlist." He also said the project will serve as a "soundtrack to your life." It's rather unclear how, as a playlist, More Life will be different than a mixtape or a "commercial mixtape" like last year's If You're Reading This It's Too Late. But in any case, Drake confirmed that More Life will be made up of entirely original material, coming from him and "the team." He just shared some potential cover artwork on his Instagram.
