Dread FM Released Debut Album ‘Who Killed The Vibe?’

The music world is buzzing with the release of Dread FM’s debut album, ‘Who Killed The Vibe?’. The genre-bending artist, known for his eclectic mix of alt-hip-hop, electronics, and rock, has already garnered support from BBC Radio 6 Music’s New Music Fix and praise from outlets like Radio X, Amazing Radio (A-List), Earmilk, Notion, and Fame Magazine.

Flynn Murray, the creative force behind Dread FM, hails from West Sussex and has built a reputation for his innovative sound. His new album represents his most ambitious project yet. In both studio recordings and live performances, Murray collaborates with bassist Jude Reid and a talented team of musicians, including renowned producer Erik Miles (Soft Play, Kate Nash) and Bones Ate Arfa.

‘Who Killed The Vibe?’ masterfully blends gritty, expressive flows with choppy, beat-heavy hip-hop and fuzzy punk tones. Each track transitions seamlessly from cut-up samples to powerful beats and heavy FX bass, all underpinned by Flynn’s stylistic, angst-ridden delivery. The result is an album that radiates intensity and creativity, marked by spotless production.

Describing the album, Dread FM says, “‘Who Killed The Vibe?’ is an unapologetically gritty underground sound, with each track curated through a virtual radio broadcast.” This concept adds an intriguing layer to the listening experience, setting the album apart from typical releases.

In addition to his acclaim in the UK press and radio, Dread FM has earned a reputation for dynamic live performances, sharing stages with acts like Slum Village, Fliptrix, and Red Snapper. His recent collaboration with The Skinner Brothers further showcases his versatility and appeal.

‘Who Killed The Vibe?’ is a significant milestone for Dread FM, cementing his status as an exciting new talent in the UK hip-hop scene. With this release, he not only demonstrates his musical prowess but also sets the stage for a promising future in the industry.
