Drum & Bass Collective SASASAS Announce Coveted XOYO London Residency

Hailed as one of London’s longest-standing clubbing venues and a stronghold for captivating bass music events, XOYO London continues to set a precedent for top-tier event programming in the capital with its celebrated Friday residencies. The latest act in line to take the reins at the Shoreditch late-night hub is revered trio SASASAS, formed of MCs Shabba D, Harry Shotta and DJ Phantasy, who step up to host a run of four Friday night shows throughout March (8th, 15th, 22nd & 29th). For tickets & info on SASASAS: The Residency or any of XOYO’s club nights, visit https://www.xoyo.co.uk/clubnights.

Starting the year with a bang, XOYO London opened its arms to renowned pirate radio station Kool FM and its new owners, RINSE, in January, warming up London’s clubbers for another year of highly sought-after artists and an intimate, immersive and underground clubbing experience in the heart of the capital. Now, XOYO has confirmed critically acclaimed DnB powerhouse SASASAS for the March Friday night residency. Following the return of their Halloween ‘Scarefest’ in October, Shabba, Shotta & DJ Phantasy are back in the Cowper Street basement along with a carefully handpicked selection of established names and emerging talents, including TNA, Basslayerz, MTM (Eksman & J Mulla), Team Drumz Showcase, Brockie, IC3, Nicky Blackmarket, Northbase, Ragga Twins and many more.

Since coming together in 2014, the award-winning Drum & Bass supergroup SASASAS has stood at the forefront of bass music culture with an ever-growing base of fans and support worldwide. As the group has evolved, navigating the tragic loss of members MC Stormin and Skibadee, it has remained committed to its roots in early DnB, Jungle and the synchronicity between MCs and DJs that has carried the genre into the modern-day. Delivering authentic, nostalgia-influenced and contemporary dancefloor experiences in many of the most respected club spaces and festival stages worldwide, Shabba, Shotta and DJ Phantasy continue to fly the SASASAS flag, honouring the legacy of its founding members and celebrating one of dance music’s cornerstone genres.

XOYO’s legendary residencies have become a talisman in London’s richly diverse, world-renowned clubbing culture. Its list of previous hosts reads like a roll call of bass music royalty, with the likes of DJ Hazard, Andy C, S.P.Y, Randall, Goldie, Fabio & Grooverider, and Alix Perez merely the crest of an endless wave of quality hosts, incredible guests, and support acts to have lined those shows throughout the years. Combined with a never-ending commitment to provide the capital with a safe, inclusive and authentic clubbing experience, it’s easy to see why XOYO London is revered in UK clubland. Now SASASAS step up for their XOYO residency and, together with a line up overflowing with talent, are sure to create more ‘I was there’ moments in DnB folklore.
