Italian DJ and producer Dukwa has remixed ‘Back To Life’, the debut single from Mexican artist Benito Bazar, out now.
A stirring rework punctuated by orchestral strings, otherworldly synths and Nigerian-American artist Tinuade’s soaring vocals, the Dukwa remix of ‘Back To Life’ finds the sweet spot between visceral club energy and soulful instrumentation.
Benito’s original, a 21st century reimagining of the timeless Soul II Soul classic, has already gained support from BBC Radio 1 and Kiss Fresh. Benito said “‘Back To Life’ has always been one of my favourite tracks and seems more relevant now than ever, I wanted to give this some new life and my utmost respect to one of the best records of all time.”
Real name Marco D’Aquino, Dukwa is a Florence-born DJ and producer who has released music on Numbers, Bosconi Records and his own Dukwa Music imprint. More recently he dropped four-track EP ‘Tears Like Stones’ on Tdsr.
