Following their Love Taking Over EP, London duo Dusky have announced the second release on their 17 Steps label, with ‘Akebono’ as the b-side to the piano-led house melodies of ‘Yoohoo’.
Showcasing the darker, deeper side of Dusky, ‘Akebono’ is a twisted, heads-down blend of house, techno and garage influences – all assembled into another inimitably Dusky production. Shot with sinister soul, dark synths and rattling bass, ‘Akebono’ captures a distinctly UK and distinctly Dusky sound, with support from Maya Jane Coles, Midland and George Fitzgerald.
The Next Step tour continues through autumn/winter with upcoming four hour sets in Brussels, Liverpool, Leeds and Glasgow – as well as a curated show at Manchester’s Warehouse Project. Details here: http://www.duskymusic.com/thenextstep/
