Dzeko releases massive new single ‘Wutang’ featuring Lil Yachty

The Toronto-based artist collabs with the Atlanta rap giant to instantly irresistible results

Canadian DJ and producer Dzeko returns in style on his first single of 2024, the instant earworm ‘Wutang’ featuring US rap titan Lil Yachty, out on Friday 29th March.

Deploying thick bass, big snare build ups and heavy drops to match Lil Yachty’s unmistakeable Atlanta flow and undeniable star power, ‘Wutang’ is a production tour de force from Dzeko. An instantly hooky chorus seals the deal, the titular refrain repeated over an infectious uptempo groove full of intricate synth melodies.

Speaking on the record, the Canadian producer comments “The song I did with Lil Yachty came about by hitting the studio literally last March. We went through a bunch of different ideas and vocals. I think the combination of the melodic chorus in the Wu-Tang part mixed with the dance/house drop blends so well and makes it a banger. A year in the making, and I’m so excited for this to finally come out!”

Dzeko is a platinum-certified electronic music DJ from Toronto, Canada. Dzeko uncovered a passion for producing and djing at the age of 14. By the age of 17, Dzeko had caught the eye of countless global superstars, including direct support from the likes of Tiësto, Steve Aoki, to name a few. His dream had started young, and no ceiling was in sight for what this prodigal producer was set to create. This pedigree quickly thrust Dzeko to global stardom on the stages of Tomorrowland, TomorrowWorld, Creamfields, Ultra Music Festival, and Coachella. In 2018 Dzeko joined his GRAMMY-winning compatriot Tiësto in the platinum circle with their instant hit ‘Jackie Chan’ featuring Preme and Post Malone. Skyrocketing to success as the summer’s undisputed hit track, the song achieved a monumental 5x Platinum status in the USA, endowed with a Best Dance Recording nomination at the Billboard Music Awards, a Juno Nomination, and labelled as SOCAN best pop song.

Lil Yachty is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and record producer from Atlanta Georgia. He’s released five studio albums, with his most recent being a psychedelic alternative rock album released in January of 2023 and debuted as #1 on Billboard’s Top Rock & Alternative Albums list, #9 on Billboard’s Top 200 list, was the #1 Album on Apple Music, and has received over 60 million streams in the first two months. He made his Saturday Night Live (SNL) musical guest debut April 1st of this year and he graced the cover of Billboard magazine’s 2023 March issue, has made multiple appearances on film and TV, collaborated with brands such as Sprite, Reese’s Puffs, and Nautica, delved into fashion with projects such as his own nail polish brand Crete, and has his own frozen pizza (Deep Cuts Yachty’s Pizzeria).

It’s still only March, but Dzeko and Lil Yachty may have just released an early contender for song of the summer in ‘Wutang’.
