EchoWaves 2018 announces first wave of acts

EchoWaves powered by Exit is a brand new music festival that invites you to experience the beautiful sea side resort of Anaklia, Georgia. In the shadow of some stunning mountains, the festival will create unforgettable summer memories with more than 150 artists from around the globe including a first wave of names Juan Atkins, Solomun, DJ Tennis, Butch, Moscoman, Claro Intelecto, Woo York, Blond:Ish, Aril Brikha, Tricky, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Lehar, Marc Romboy, Matthew Dekay, Function, Henry Saiz, Francesco Tristano & Guti and many more.

This festival brings quality underground music to a new location that offers beautiful sunsets, long beaches and a warm ocean to swim in. The surrounding area is famously flat and agricultural, though the Greater Caucasus Mountains Range can be perfectly viewed over the ocean and boats a rich history which is reflected in the local futures and customs as well as the architecture.

It’s a very special location for a music festival that will boast next level production, impressive stages, day and night parties and stunning natural backdrops, sunsets and sunrises. Headlining is none of there than Bristol trip hop pioneer, Tricky, the seminal live performer, producer and vocalist with a dark and involving sound and classic albums like Maxinquaye and most recently 2017’s Ununiform. Then there are the biggest names in house and techno such as Solomun, the Diynamic label boss with two residences at Pacha and his own festivals around the world—he also brings label artists Kollektiv Turmstrasse and Lehar with him.

Then it’s Juan Atkins, the original Detroit techno pioneer who still innovates with every single production and DJ set. Contemporary hitmakers like tech titan Butch, tasteful Life And Death boss DJ Tennis and the Kompakt pair Blond:Ish also line-up, as does the special pairing of Francesco Tristano & Guti as Another Paradise and Disco Hallal's analogue master Moscoman, who makes raw acid, techno and disco tracks that will frazzle your brain.

For pure techno look no further than Berghain associate Function, while Henry Saiz, Lehar and Marc Romboy all bring various shades of house and techno, All Day I Dream man Matthew Dekay brings his melodic and melancholic house sound and Delsin’s dub, techno and IDM man Claro Intelecto brings his always heady sound.

This is a full and tasteful line-up of quality names in a beautifully natural location that will mean EchoWaves powered by Exit is a perfect holiday and musical experience all rolled into one.
