Eclectic talent Per2 drops steamy house cut ‘On My Own’

Per2 is back on Youth Control with another superb single, this time in collaboration with cultured singer-songwriter NA OM for ‘On My Own.‘ Coming only a matter of months after his standout label debut, the Cloud EP, the artist formerly known as Perttu is back with more floor filling goodness, this time with a hooky vocal and scorching synth work. With solid support on Influx Radio and further tastemaker support coming from Robosonic, Hybrid Theory, Randy Seidman and Dots Per Inch, this latest cut from Per2 is already making an impact.

Under his previous alias, Per2 has done it all, from working with Butter TM and Bonnie Strange to remixing the likes of Billie Eilish and signing to Universal and BMG Rights Management. A drummer since the age of six and touring internationally in several bands, he was later drawn to the world of electronic music, becoming part of the techno and art collective ParkerStrange. Per2’s Cloud EP showed an even broader musical palette where he fused deep and tropical house, garage swing and lush pianos into a trio of classy cuts.

He continues to explore fresh new sound worlds each time he steps out. For ‘On My Own’, Per2 teams up with Naomi De Carvalho aka NA OM, a singer, songwriter, performer and dancer who was born and raised in Finland to Nigerian and Russian parents. She has a storytelling approach to music and a warm, infectious voice that echoes stars like Kali Uchis, Amy Winehouse and Jorja Smith. From neo-soul to R&B to EDM, indie and Afro, she has many different styles in her repertoire and a creative range that is sure to make her an in-demand voice of the scene.

The fantastic ‘On My Own’ is defined by NA OM’s soulful retro style which perfectly complements Per2’s fresh mix of melodic, deep house and hypnotic drums. It is the sort of emotionally epic track that will sweep dancers off their feet as the slick grooves never stop, the raw synth energy builds and the vocal casts its magical spell.
