A fundamental artist in the development of Detroit Techno, Eddie Fowlkes stands alongside other legends like Derrick May and Kevin Saunderson. From his first release on Juan Atkins’s Metroplex Records he has continued to create pioneering tracks over the past three decades.
His latest EP ‘That’s What I Think About’ is no exception, true to his roots you hear the heavy Detroit Techno influence in both ‘That’s What I Think About’ and ‘Something Special E’. South African producer Culoe De Song’s remix of ‘That’s What I Think About’ is less dancefloor-oriented, with atmospheric synths and percussion giving it a distinct and unusual sound.
