Valencia’s Edu Imbernon has carved out a stellar reputation for his vibrant and colourful club constructions since first breaking onto the scene back in 2009 with the extraordinary ‘El Baile Alemán’. With further releases on Suara, Get Physical and his own label Eklektisch, as well as remix work for the likes of Jamie XX and Maya Jane Coles already under his belt, Edu’s reputation continues to grow.
Having also played at locations across the globe, including those as far-reaching as Lebanon and even Brazil, as well as appearances at Ultra Music Festival in Miami and a residency at Space in Ibiza set to enter it’s fourth year this summer, he looks set to enjoy another hugely successful year. With a glistening remix of Hot Natured’s ‘Emerald City’ already supported by the likes of Jamie Jones and Tiesto set for release in March too, Edu has the perfect springboard to launch soulful new single ‘Dalt’ on April 21st.
Built around a classic house template, ‘Dalt’ gathers pace for a little over a minute before suddenly exploding into life with introduction of a trademark, thick-edged bassline. Full to the brim with sunshine rhythm and groove, it charges along with a certain Balearic charm as gentle strings and flickering synths intertwine to mesmeric effect. Sure to make a significant impression in the clubs, Imbernon’s ability to blend such a vast array of sounds on ‘Dalt’ is sure to earmark him as one to watch throughout 2014.
