International Music Summit (IMS) is proud to announce the return of its summer camp educational program, IMS College – Malta, to the Mediterranean island on July 7-9.  IMS College – Malta offers the next generation of electronic music creators and professionals the tools and knowledge to assist their career, via a two-day, intensive learning experience.

IMS College – Malta is partnering with leading music production institute Point Blank Music School, who will provide instructors, masterclasses and host and co-curate one of the days of the two-day program.

With annual industry summits in Ibiza, Los Angeles and Shanghai, IMS proudly celebrates its 10th year in 2017 continuing to connect the global electronic music community and build awareness of the genre.  Observing the need to support and develop the future of the industry, IMS offers a dedicated educational programme to help cultivate and inspire students, emerging artists and the next generation of business leaders in the electronic music industry.

The aim of the IMS College series is to give a 360-degree, face-to-face learning experience, made up of a carefully curated program of panels, keynotes, networking sessions and workshops from key industry figureheads from across all sectors of the electronic music industry. Designed and curated with the understanding that a useful, practical and affordable introduction to the Electronic music industry is highly beneficial to students and emerging industry professionals, IMS College – Malta attendees will gain rare insights to every aspect of the industry from the creative process to business management. With many topics covered in behind-the-scenes areas including radio, production, management, PR, live bookings, trade organisations and much more.

By night and throughout the weekend attendees will be able to see special performances from world leading artists; beginning on Friday night with Sven Vath, the pioneering founder and DJ behind Cocoon who will be joined by leading French DJ Agoria. IMS co-founder Ben Turner states “As IMS approaches its first decade, it feels right for us to put even more focus on inspiring the new generation of producers, performers and industry protagonists. IMS College Malta year one was a revelation for us, a different approach to curating a summit considering the audience was so open to absorbing all forms of education and instruction about this incredible culture of music. We thank our partners and the government of Malta for seeing the value in taking such an approach to educate whilst we entertain.”

Nicolas Spiteri from local Maltese partner 365 Entertainment Group states “For those that have yet experienced Malta, it is a beautiful island set in crystal clear waters and has a beautiful climate. It is a safe, well connected island with flights to all major European cities. It is an English speaking country, with breathtaking scenery providing a perfect backdrop to learn and enjoy nightlife for all who visit”.
