EDX Remixes Charli XCX – White Mercedes

There are very few artists in electronic music who are able to lay claim to the incredible career longevity and continued success that EDX can. Over two decades since he fist started making beats back in the mid-nineties, the Swiss-Italian stalwart has arguably had one of the most successful years of his entire career, clocking one GRAMMY nomination and a staggering fiveBeatport number ones in the space of just nine months.

Barely pausing to draw breath, and with his brand new original single Neptunestill climbing charts worldwide, the prolific hit-maker now announces his next sure-fire hit, as he takes on one of the biggest stars in pop music today, Charli XCX, and her latest single White Mercedes.

The three-and-a-half minute cut kicks off with an instrumental pattern that exudes EDX’s signature style, as the Swiss maestro swaps out the guitar-led intro from the original with one of his inimitable synth refrains. His unique, exuberant style shines throughout the remix’s breakdowns and drops, with his exquisite upbeat production values perfectly complimenting Charli’s sultry top line across the duration of the record. Delivering his first ‘Miami Sunset Remix’ of 2019, EDX once again turns a downtempo pop ballad into a shimmering, club-ready cut, primed for international dancefloors.

Speaking about the release EDX commented:

“2019 has been an incredible year for me so far. I’ve been concentrating primarily on original music but when Atlantic approached me to remix White Mercedes I just couldn’t turn it down. Charli XCX is one of the most exciting talents on the pop circuit right now and I knew I could make something special out of her amazing new single”.

This remix comes ahead of a huge few months of international touring for EDX, who recently announced his mammoth winter Neptune Tour. Having kicked off at Club Mystique during ADE on October 17, EDX will now take in an impressive twenty-three dates across North America in just two months – stopping off at the likes of Marquee New York, Avalon Hollywood and EDC Orlando, throwing a special No Xcuses event at Audio in San Francisco, before closing out the run at Bang Bang in San Diego on December 21.
