DJ/Producer Alex A (Alex van den Akker) is born and raised in the south of the Netherlands. His passion and interest for (tech) house music came at a very young age.
Names such as Carl Cox, Green Velvet and Umek inspired him to learn the profession as a DJ. After becoming a well known face at several underground parties in Holland, Alex decided to take his musical carreer to the next step, and starting to create and develop his own signature sound as a producer.
After being featured by Mark Knight's Toolroom as demo of the week, he got releases on labels such as Kynatix, 1980 Recordings & Mario Ochoa's Avenue Recordings.
He has released several times as an artist and remixer on 1980 Recordings. As we bring you a brand new 'artist EP series' it was only fitting that Alex A was the first one to be asked. He drops 3 tech house monsters on one solid 'Eight Zero #1' ep.
