With just a week to go until this year’s festival, Electric Fields are excited to add even more names to the proceedings.
Onr, Starcrawler, Tom Joshua and the Insider Festival DJs join an already announced phenomenal line-up that will see Frightened Rabbit headline their first Scottish festival and Mercury Prize winner and platinum selling artistDizzee Rascal as the second headliner.
Completing the bill for the last big party of the summer is the enigmatic psych group Whyte Horse Experience, who have invited along very special guestsBadly Drawn Boy and Mélanie Pain (Nouvelle Vague). Currently recording their second album, Whyte Horse Experience are notoriously rare to see live. This unique show is one not to be missed.
Returning to the stunning grounds of the 17th Century Drumlanrig Castle inDumfries & Galloway for its fourth outing, Electric Fields offers its most diverse musical line-up to date. Always striving to showcase the most exciting music around at the moment, EF offers festival goers a weekend of top class music, amazing food and great entertainment with an intimate, community atmosphere.
This year will also feature spoken word curated by Scotland’s finest, Neu! Reekie! and comedy, film and Q&As from some very special guests. For the young one’s the “Our Kids Electric” area returns with a whole host of entertainment and workshops and of course, the legendary adventure playground is a hop skip and a jump away!
As well as an amazing musical lineup, Scotland’s best street food market The Pitt will be providing an awesome culinary experience at the festival. There are a variety of new bars on offer, with a dedicated Ale Festival (including their own brewed ‘Electric Ale’), two new cock- tail bars – a pop-up from world renowned Edinburgh favourite Hoot The Redeemer AND a dedicated Patron Airstream Bar! For the wine and Prosecco fans, there’s also a new wine bar, brought to the festival by Smith & Gertrude with a wide selection from around Europe to quench your thirst.
