Electro-Pop Newcomer Ronan Maclean Shares New Single ‘Right Here, Right Now’
Electronic-Pop solo artist Ronan Maclean makes his debut with the new single ‘Right Here, Right Now’. Based in The Gold Coast, Australia, the 16 year old singer, songwriter and producer has been making covers and original music in his bedroom for many years and is now ready to make the jump to releasing his first original track.
Ronan often mentions his idol, the world renowned pop sensation Charlie Puth when describing his style and what he wants to achieve as a musician. “I like to describe my vibe as ‘the boy next door’ and my musical style as modernised 80s pop/dance. Kind of like ‘The Weeknd’ and ‘Dua Lipa’. My main goal with my music is to lift peoples moods, like Earth, Wind and Fire does with their music.”
‘Right Here, Right Now’ is a great example of Ronan’s 80s inspired dance-pop exploits. Bringing together washy synths, soft electronic beats and bright synth top lines under his controlled, delicate vocal delivery, Ronan creates an atmospheric soundscape packed with vocal hooks and heaps of commercial appeal.
Speaking about the new single, Roanan said: “This song is my Charlie Puth’s “One Call Away.” It’s very accessible and easy to listen to. Anyone who hears it gets a taste of what my style is with a catchy dance/pop record. It’s a feel good song with a chill, dancy chorus that appeals to almost everyone”
Having taken up music from a young age, Ronan is a multi-instrumentalist and talented producer with a lot of passion and future potential. A prolific songwriter, Ronan also busks around the Gold Coast and performs at local venues on a regular basis renowned for his compelling performances. With a growing following, this first single release is a great example of what to expect from Ronan Maclean in the future.
