Electronic Bodyguards return with hypnotic single ‘Stronger’

New LP ‘Exquisite’ out 17^th June.

It’s been nearly thirty years since Dutch producer Robin ‘Jaydee’ Albers made his indelible mark on the world of electronic music, and if his forthcoming second album ‘Exquisite’ with French partner Ricoslide as Electronic Bodyguards is anything to go by, his long-established refusal to rest on his laurels continues.

First single from LP ‘Stronger’ sets the course with an expansive, evolving sound and slowly unfurling structure, as cinematic strings and deep riffs are occasionally joined by a soulful cry of ‘Stronger’, alongside pattering rhythms and plaintiff keys. Eastern flutes and echoing gongs quickly give way to a hypnotic synth riff, crisp downtempo beats and shards of vocal, for a synapse stroking, scene setting introduction to Electronic Bodyguards’ immersive new LP.

On the remix front, veteran producer of the goods Pete Herbert steps up with a more streamlined, warm mid-tempo Balearic take, bumping along ready for what will hopefully be a long summer ahead. Finally, Demure isn’t afraid to deconstruct proceedings a bit with glitchy beats and smart edits, whilst keeping the melodic feels in place.
