French producer Manoo kick-starts the TRIBE Traks imprint, the sub-label to Zepherin Saint’s Tribe Records, with his ‘Electronikart’ single this August.
Manoo has long been a treasured component in the French house community, earning a residency at Ambassade back in 1996 before turning his hand to production at the dawn of the millennium. He was one third of the Rodamaal project that went on to drop a string of releases on Buzzin’ Fly and has since released on the likes of Basenotic Records, Real Tone Records, Earthrumental and Deeply Rooted with much support from Louie Vega, DJ Gregory, Llorca and DJ Deep.
‘Electronikart’ employs thudding kicks and a sequenced analogue rhythm amid crashing gongs for a complete cosmic workout. Meanwhile ‘Da Beat Dub Mix’ strips all of this back to its bare bones with percussion taking centre stage, whilst on the other hand the ‘Ambient Mix’ is a synth driven, astral affair.
Manoo ‘Electronikart’ drops on TRIBE Traks on 24th August 2015.
