‘Light Years’ brought the Elysian trio into the Black Hole Recordings orbit at the start of 2024 and Breda’s finest have wasted little time in building on that boom. Today, the group shift from ‘Light Years’-style existentialism to something more intimate in nature. ‘Sparks In The Night’ is about to put a spark in everyone’s night!
‘Sparks’ flamed-on back in December, where Ilan premiered the track to anthemically devastating effect, whilst closing out his ‘In Search of Sunrise 19’ mix. Its production comes with all the floor-vectored thrust you’d expect from a Levi/Bluestone creation, but it’s calculus is a careful balance of beast and beauty. Filtering through its marching drums, firing snares, dirty-deep bass and ripping tech FX comes contextual texture and harmonic feels.
By the time Emma makes her appearance, ‘Sparks’ is awash with galactic chords and pads. While ‘Light Years’ asked the bigger questions, ‘Sparks’ song has a more singular nature, as Hewitt speaks to experiences personally owned.
