Emika to Return with New Agent, Music and Live Show

In a move to present new music for 2018 and amplify a brand new live show with drummer Ran Levari, multifaceted Anglo-Czech talent Emika has recently joined Berlin-based Melt! Booking Agency. Playing her first electronic live show since 2015.

A now well established artist, her new live show sees a shift in performing solo, to a trip hop inspired rave show with live electronics, singing, and live drums, forming a dynamic duo around her sound.

“After being busy with my symphony,  I’m looking forward to returning to my electronic side and getting back on the mic with my gear, performing for my fans.” – Emika.

Emika connected with the Berlin based agency in 2017 who have a great mix of commercial and independent artists such as Brodka, Fishbach, The xx, London Grammar, Fever Ray and Bonobo to name a few.  Emika looked for the right agent to help develop her vision of both classical & electronic music and she found Christopher Brosch, responsible for the first Portishead shows in Berlin, booking shows with artists such as Tricky and Mogwai.  Emika is in good hands with her live projects here.

“I felt quite honoured when Emika approached me last year looking for a new live representation. I started to listen to her older recordings, met with her and  found, that we might share some sense for adventure.  I’m quite impressed by her efforts to expand borders and explore some different musical universes. Being offered a ticket for this mission was somewhat irresistible – and here we are : commencing countdown engines on.  Just follow the music.’’ – Christopher Brosch – Melt! Booking

Emika has worked with diligence over the years, resulting in acclaimed album releases such as the electronic studio LP’s:Emika, DVA, and Drei as well as an Ambient Classical piano album Klavirni and a 50 piece orchestra symphony albumMelanfonie.

Emika will play July 18th at the Colours of Ostrava festival, as well as taking part on a panel at music conference (Czech) Crossroads about Mental Health on 17th July.
