Enter the #StreetMakerGo music-making contest now!

Gismart, a mobile entertainment developer and publisher, partners with AKAI Professional and Splice to popularise mobile music-making through a joint contest in the Beat Maker Go app. Beat Maker Go has one of the biggest mobile audiences of amateur music-makers and offers sound packs for instant music creation. 

The Contest

The contest aims to challenge users to write, record, and perform an original track using a #StreetMakerGo sound packs provided by Splice in Beat Maker Go. To enter users must film a video of their performance outdoors before uploading it to Instagram where expert judges from Splice, AKAI Professional and Gismart will decide on the finalists and prize winners. The contest aims to pay tribute to the origins of beat-making while also challenging users to push their creative boundaries.

Splice, the digital music platform pushing to evolve the way people create, connect, and collaborate, are providing each entrant with one month free to their subscription service and three second-place winners with a one-year subscription. Through this service, musicians can source one-shots, loops, MIDI files, and presets across every genre effortlessly. 

Each of the three first-place entries will receive an MPD218 supplied by AKAI Professional. Since entering the music industry in 1984, AKAI Professional has sought to deliver artists every tool they need to express their musicality. The MPD218 is a tool that does just this. It is a MIDI-over-USB pad controller that’s ideal for producers, programmers, musicians and DJs alike.

The grand prize will be the latest iPad Pro. With this, the winner can maximise the potential of Beat Maker Go and continue furthering their music-making career. Aside from the prize, the winner will also have their track heard by the millions of beat-makers currently using Beat Maker Go.

The contest commences on 10.09.2019 and will continue for four weeks, allowing contestants to record and prepare their final entry thoroughly. The judges will be looking for phenomenal songs, unimaginable locations, and tight performances. Download the app and join the contest.
