Made in Paris is an underground Australian artist who has been making waves for a while now. She starts off 2018 on a fine footing with a new EP on her Upon Access label that features two originals and a remix from The Journey.
Erratic is the opening track that sets a moody atmosphere, with deep, languid pads and gently tumbling drums. The bass is warm and rubbery and pulls you deep into the tune. It’s a tense, alluring affair that will create a great vibe in the club. Dispatch then gets a little more loose and open, with chords rising up the scale and a late night feeling that is spacious and roomy. The drums are slick and the percussion subtle, with the overall effect truly transportive. The remix from fellow Australian duo The Journey is a sympathetic one that layers in more cosmic keys but keeps the wide open feelings firmly in place. As such, this is a killer EP.
