Fabio & Grooverider Land Coveted XOYO London Residency In May

The word “iconic” is thrown around loosely these days, but surely applies to longstanding drum & bass pioneers Fabio & Grooverider. Following huge individual shows at XOYO London in 2023, the duo link up to carry the mantle of XOYO’s revered Friday residency for a five-week run through May (3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th & 31st). As expected, the lineup across the Fabio & Grooverider residency is a formative tribute to the roots of drum & bass and a tip of the hat to the duo’s many influences throughout their thirty-plus-year reign. XOYO’s Friday residency continues to cement its place in the capital’s nightlife legacy, with legendary pirate station Kool FM (January) and renowned DJ/MC trio SASASAS (March), adding to a list of former residents that includes such luminaries as Andy C, S.P.Y, Randall, Goldie, Alix Perez, Calibre, Break and many more.

Intent on continuing to supply the masses with super-credible, in-demand, world-class acts, XOYO looks forward to welcoming genre-defining duo Fabio & Grooverider to take control of the XOYO turntables every Friday throughout May. After performing to a crowd of over 8,000 alongside The Outlook Orchestra, the duo are chomping at the bit to get back to a real basement dancefloor and proven up-for-it crowd to deliver an electrifying five-week programme. Guests include Total Science, Ratpack, Ray Keith, Micky Finn, Ragga Twins, Mr. C, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Logan D, Jumpin Jack Frost, Eksman and loads more.

Fabio & Grooverider, Fitzroy Heslop (Fabio) and Raymond Bingham (Grooverider) are pivotal figures in the evolution of electronic dance music, particularly renowned for their influential contributions to the UK’s jungle and drum & bass scenes. Emerging in the late 1980s, the duo played a pivotal role in shaping rave culture, gaining prominence through DJ sets on pirate radio stations and at the world’s best clubs. With a career spanning more than three decades, Fabio & Grooverider have left an indelible mark in the history of electronic dance music and rave culture – and this irrepressible duo are far from finished yet.
