Seminal Drum & Bass tastemaker, Fabio, is set to bring his new label project, Generation Liquid, to Cardiff on Saturday 28th June 2025 to prime music venue, Tramshed. The all-night label takeover, which gets an official launch at Camden Assembly on 17th May, has chosen Cardiff for its next city debut, where Fabio will curate a bill of talent embodying the label’s ethos of soulful, melodic and emotional Drum & Bass.
Unlike trend-led lineups built around algorithms and hype cycles, every act on the lineup at Tramshed has been handpicked by Fabio for their musicality, originality and presence in the scene. Expect heavy sets from Skeptical, Breakage, plus special guests still under wraps.
Cardiff’s local scene is well represented too, with Concrete Junglists’ Ransom going B2B with Double A Side and Headspace selectors Lubi J and Electra bringing their genre-blurring, high-energy blend in another special B2B.
Hosting the night are two of the most iconic voices in the game, MC GQ and Illmatika, adding energy and flow, and keeping the crowd hyped from start to finish.
From pirate radio beginnings to his iconic 14 year show on BBC Radio 1, Fabio is known for his foundational role in the development of Jungle and Drum & Bass. His long-standing commitment to the deeper form of sound gave birth to the term ‘liquid funk’ – a style that continues to resonate with heads worldwide. Generation Liquid is the natural progression of that legacy. First launched as a compilation series in 2023, the project has now evolved into a label and live event series focused on authenticity, artistry and longevity.
