fabric: Lineups For January & February 2017
Last week we announced that we’re making some modifications to the structure of our Friday nights. Where FABRICLIVE has been a constant on Fridays and the music it represents will firmly remain part of what we do here, we’ve felt like it’s the right time to introduce some new elements to our programming. If you were wondering what exactly this look like, we’re now able to reveal pretty much in full what we have planned in for the beginning of next year.
A night that’s first up on the agenda to herald in is DVS1: Curates – a full club takeover coming throughout the year to Fridays where we will give artists we admire control over who will join them in driving our disco’s systems. DVS1 is perfectly placed to baptise the series, his substantial heritage in the USA’s Midwest party scene along with the killer knowledge as a selector has given him a huge range of experience to draw from. He explains his approach to the programming here:
“I was honoured to be asked to curate the first in this new series at fabric. We all know the hardship and struggle to get the club open again and to be asked to kick it off and put my stamp on how things start was something I didn’t take lightly! In putting together the lineup I wanted to encapsulate all my various tastes and pay a bit of tribute with a few UK artists.”
FABRICLIVE in its now regular home of the last Friday of the month will be back in strength with some of the most celebrated artists from its core across jungle, drum ‘n’ bass, dubstep and grime. Rebel MC Congo Natty heads up the January 27th event and a dubstep pioneer who holds a deep place in our history – Caspa – is also instore at the end of February. Read down for the full line ups.
Further to FABRICLIVE’s end-of-month-spots, My Nu Leng and d ‘n’ b soldiers Bailey and Need For Mirrors will install their own party banners, with My Nu Leng & M8's and Soul in Motion both making special appearances for FABRICLIVE on 10th February.
