Familia goes Back to Back

One of the Capital’s favourite brands launches a brand new series of events at Egg London, featuring carefully curated back-to-back sets from some of the world’s most celebrated artists.

Kicking the series off on Saturday 4th October is one of the most in-form and in-demand DJs on the planet, Moon Harbour boss Matthias Tanzmann. Resident of the infamous Circo Loco, his sets have become stuff of legend, whilst his productions have been an integral part in the growth of house in general. Joining Matthias will be Moon Harbour label mates and much respected German duo, Luna City Express. Marking their 10th year as a production duo. the pair have often been heralded as the bastions of the revived old school Chicago house sound, they’ll be performing an exclusive back-to-back extended set on the night.

Part 2 of the series sees 2 masters of their craft go back-to-back, as DJ Pierre and Francois K take to the stage. One of the original producers of the 80’s Chicago scene, Pierre fuses together scorching acid grooves with pulsating beats, laden with the sultry vocal samples, producing some of the most legendary house tracks including Phuture’s “Acid Trax” along the way. He’ll be joined by the infamous Francois K, former A&R manager for the legendary Prelude where he helped define the dance-music zeitgeist. As a DJ he has worked at seminal clubs like Studio 54, the Loft, and the Paradise Garage where his influential disco edits made him one of the most in-demand producers on the planet. Still a major player in the New York house scene, we are truly blessed to have him down!

Completing the bill will be Egg favourite and Familia’s exclusive London guest, Cristian Varela. One of the most celebrated DJs in Spain, his brand of techno has earned him much deserved acclaim, winning Vicious Magazine’s Best Techno DJ for 2 years running.

Familia’s third and final instalment of the series is fittingly fronted by one of the most celebrated back-to-back acts of the year. Uner and Technasia’s collaborative sets have been on peoples lips since the Winter Music Conference and have been rocking the biggest events and festivals around the word ever since. We’re thrilled to have the pair headline this event for an exclusive London appearance as they weave their magic over six hours.

Familia sounds will rule the Ground Floor as the Residents take control of the floor for the first time, as Fabio Ferro, Ben Grunnell, Nick Tcherniak and Kyle E take the reigns from start to finish.

The international party crowd have been growing month after month and this looks to be no exception to the night’s essential with one of the biggest most opulent feasts and audio adventures for Familia to date.
