Alex Kennon vs Joyfull - Family The Party Is Over EP

Yaww Recordings releases a collaboration between Alex Kennon and the Joyfull Family trio this August including a remix from Kellerkind.

Having amassed a back catalogue including releases on Saved Records, Snatch!, Bondage Music and NONSTOP, Kennon has fast cemented himself as an auspicious international DJ and producer. This summer has seen him begin his Ibiza residency for Maceo Plex’s Mosaic series, not to mention multiple dates at Insane when not appearing at various gigs and festivals throughout Europe. His next outing, in collaboration with Nurvous and Street King production trio Joyfull Family, marks the second release on Romania’s Yaww Recordings vinyl only series.

‘The Party Is Over’ sets a warm tone with delicate break-beat drums and idyllic synth lines, flecked with sonic distorts and laid-back vocals. Up next, Kellerkind’s remix permeates the original with murky bass grooves and robotic filters before the ‘3rd Club Mix’ establishes itself on a classic house tip featuring soulful chords and acidic notes. Concluding the release is club- driven number ‘State Of Mind’ which pulsates with heavy snare hits and swelling ostinatos.
