Amine Edge & DANCE - FCK UR OPINION

With its next EP Desolat welcome French party starters and gangster house practitioners Amine Edge & DANCE to Loco Dice’s label. The no nonsense pair offer three standout tracks that really convey their in your face style.

Amine Edge & DANCE hail from the South of France and have swiftly emerged at the centre of their own musical empire in recent years. Their CUFF label has championed plenty of exciting new artists as well as their own hook laden material, and has also spawned many sell out events in Ibiza at places like Sankeys. Mining everything from early house to Philli funk, techno to bass to hip hop and plenty in between, this pair are as brash as they are brilliant.

The massive ‘Ruthless’ goes first and has elastic, long legged house drums down low, coarse claps in the mid ground and blurting acid squelches writhing all over. It is a physical jack track aimed squarely at the rump and is sure to go off in the club.

Next up, the riveting ‘Rage’ is seven minutes of peak time techno with freaky little hooks, expertly programmed drums and more ripping synths bringing a dark sense of energy.

Rounding out an impactful package is the monstrous ‘1993 TCHN SHT’ with slamming bare bone beats, raved up synths and prickly percussion scattered about an invitingly bleak sonic landscape. It’s brilliantly to the point stuff that will command the attention of even the biggest warehouse.

These meaty and fad free tracks fit perfectly within the chunky cannon of Desolat and really inject the modern dance landscape with something fresh and arresting.
