Internationally renowned Dutch DJ/Producer Fedde Le Grand returns to the release trenches for his latest endeavor, “Shake That Ass”. His latest sonic offering reimages Eminem’s 2005 hit “Shake That”, instilling it with newfound bass-house and EDM elements. The new cut directly follows Fedde Le Grand’s June-released collaborative single “Down” with 22Bullets, as well as his high-energy May hit, “Nothing’s Gonna Hurt You”. “Shake That Ass” is out now across all streaming platforms via Universal Music.
“Shake That Ass” kicks off with a pulsating bass and a hard-hitting, jaunty rhythm, paired with a pitched-down vocal cut. Leaving the iconic melody very much intact, Le Grand brings the refrain into a hyper-charged and contemporary setting that’s sure to resonate with the modern audience. Playing on a continuous loop, the vocals take the focal point, leading up to an explosive beat drop that oozes with palpable energy and atmospheric ambiance. With four-on-the-floor sensibilities, the high octane production serves as a stellar addition to Fedde Le Grand’s already-established discography and is sure to set dancefloors worldwide ablaze with energy this summer.
Enjoying artistic freedom afforded by only an elite few, Fedde Le Grand is a masterful pioneer of electronica, considered by countless fans and artists as one of the single most defining figures in House music. Whether as DJ or producer, Fedde’s influence can be felt throughout the electronic landscape; his creative beats, grooves, melodies and rhythms surround us all and have done so for many years. He has been credited countless awards and remixed the biggest artists around – from Coldplay, Madonna, will.i.am, Robbie Williams, Everything But The Girl, Fatboy Slim, Shakira, Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson and Faithless. Recent additions of The Chainsmokers and Loud Luxury have demonstrated his infinite ability to deliver fresh offerings and craft timeless creations.
With a discography larger than most, Fedde has a multitude of timeless hits, including ‘Put Your Hands Up For Detroit’, ‘Let Me Think About It’, ‘Back & Forth’, ’So Much Love’ and ’Sparks (Turn Off Your Mind)’. Fedde Le Grand continues to grow with the rapidly changing music scene with ‘Shake That Ass’ serving as another prime example of his ability to maintain relevance in our ever-evolving world of dance music.
