Feint – Always Here EP
With releases on luminaries such as Liquicity and Monstercat, Feint is a name that needs no introduction. This 20 year old Northerner gives out the utmost vibes. A concocter of celestial melodies that serenade the listener, of beats that propel his tracks into the land of nebuli. However described, this producer is unmatched in sound. His new EP forthcoming on Subsphere only serves to bolster this reputation.
Title track ‘Always Here’ is the first to send us to the stratosphere. An opening of strings lifts you elegantly towards the climatic lead and pulsing bass. Meanwhile, Coma’s soothing vocals lay a glossy coat over ‘Forget Me Not’. All you need to do is sit back and allow yourself to drift into Feint’s cosmos. Things diverge to a slower path in the second half. An epic orchestral showdown commences against the bass’ rampant attacks in ‘Straylight’. Opposing this, ‘Wasted’, featuring Eric Hayes on mic duties, presents a heartfelt closer to the release.
