House music megalith, Felix Da Housecat, has been hard at work this year and is now readying his next single “Silence” for a November 11 release via Brobot Records.
Churning abrasive synth work against a collage of crash cymbals, head-knocking kicks and relentless snares make up the body of “Silence”. The progressive house grumbler comes as the follow up to “Sinner Winner/Give Me Body” and “I Just Want To Be A Lesbian”, two releases which firmly cemented Felix’s return earlier this year.
Over the summer months, the Chicago legend has shown no signs of slowing down. Heading up regular appearances all over Europe with most of his time spent in Ibiza for his ‘Clandestin’ residency @ Space. This year has also seen him add stamps to his passport from Brazil (D-Edge) to Barcelona (Razzmatazz), London (XOYO) to Holland (Loveland Festival).
As if that wasn’t enough for 2013, Felix also gifted fans with a live BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and epic remixes for the likes of Ali Love and Green Velvet. With a very special artist album dropping in early next year, it’s safe to say that thee cat is most definitely back.
