FEST Camden is the new and unique, multi-faceted venue housed in a 200 year old horse hospital at Camden Stables Market. Having quickly picked up a reputation following a soft launch in April, the immersive space is now fully open with 3 exciting new ventures launched for June. Offering a brilliantly diverse mix of indoor and outdoor entertainments from cocktails to cabaret, dancing to dining, the historic venue has genuine charm, tasteful contemporary design and is a reflection of the multi-cultural hustle and bustle of the surrounding market area of Camden.
This storied and sympathetically refurbished space incorporates a nightclub and live music hall, lush rooftop garden with outdoor bar and pizza oven, enchanting themed party stables, a cabaret club with magical in house shows and a pizza restaurant with mouthwatering daily offerings. In the heart of Camden, the space has been carefully designed so that each area oozes class and authenticity.
FEST Camden is the place for day time into after-hours fun: the 200 year old, Grade II listed former horse hospital boasts a main room that echoes Bondi Beach, with hanging surfboards and neon palm trees, skylights, club booths and a high end D&B audiotechnik sound system. The space will be put to good use with club events from brands MADE, Latino Fest, Carnival City and Magic and live music from the legendary Camden Rocks. There’s plenty of boozy brunches with Club Du Fromage hosting a special ‘Brunch Du Fromage’, while Reggae Brunch bring a Jamaican vibe. Blingo showcase their infamous Hip hop themed bingo andAloha is Camden’s new Club Tropicana daytime rave.
For outdoor shenanigans when the sun shines, FEST Roof Gardens is the only place to be, especially during the World Cup when all matches will be shown on a series of outdoor screens. Laden with hanging plants, lush greenery, a beautiful pergola, tropical production and plenty of seating, it is a magical urban oasis that has live acoustic music by day and DJs by night. The bar is stocked with craft ales, summery cocktails like Pimms and Aperol Spritz and wood fired pizzas are also on hand and great panoramic views of Chalk Farm Road and the rest of Camden stables. This is an all day, year round garden venue that is covered and heated in colder weather.
If you’re looking for an intimate and immersive drinking and dining experience, the wonderfulFEST Party Stables offer the perfect excuse for a get together. They’re a place to hang out before live entertainment in the evening or a place to feel like a VIP once the party starts. The Stables is a series of expertly curated former stables next to the main hall and will be open from June. Each one has a tastefully realised theme—Political Party has black and white portraits on the wall, green leather seating, wood panelling and a commons style bar, Garden Party has astro turf, poufs, climbing plants, hanging wisteria and quaint garden seating, Cocktail Partyis the ultimate in 70s chic with a classic corner bar, bold wallpaper and retro furniture. Other themes include Street Party, Birthday Party, After Party and Tea Party .
From Friday June 15th, anyone looking for some cheeky fun should check out The Birdcage Cabaret, a new live entertainment concept that takes inspiration from the Broadway and West End musical ‘La Cage aux Folles.’ It’s a place where musical theatre, drag, burlesque, comedy and circus collide, where you can enjoy a three course dinner and Cabaret show followed by a night of dancing. Your hosts The Cagelles will keep you amused with song and dance as special guest acts perform comedy, magic, circus and much more: a night out like no other.
Last but not least, in June the venue will launch Pizza FEST – a separate pizza restaurant housed in FEST Camden’s south wing – offering wood fired slices including vegan and vegetarian options for lunch and dinner every day of the week. To celebrate Pizza FEST are throwing a free bottomless pizza and Aperol spritz festival on Saturday 23rd June. The pizza and spritz will be limitless for the first 2 hours of the day from midday. Yes, you heard that right – that’s free pizza and drinks for all!
