Festival countdown: Stop Making Sense

Stop Making Sense returns to Tisno in Croatia from July 31 to August 3 2014, delivering a unique beach party experience that presents an unrivalled, well-considered lineup in a stunning picture-perfect Dalmatian Coast location. Providing an escape, soundtracked by carefully selected club gangs, DJs and artists who really bring this event to life, Stop Making Sense is one party that stands out from the rest.

Across four glorious days Stop Making Sense hosts stages including the beach bar and the wood stage, set among the Mediterranean pines and oak trees, plus the outdoor nightclub Barbarella¹s Discotheque, where the party continues until sunrise. Providing 18 hours a day of music to move you, Stop Making Sense offers house, techno and electro, funk, soul and disco, and boat parties host revellers, taking in the idyllic sights of the coast. Enjoy the tunes at the tiki bar, feast in the town, lounge on the beach, or simply dance in the sunshine. And now Stop Making Sense announces its day-to-day programme as £40 day tickets go on sale ¬ ideal for those on holiday in Croatia and looking for an 18-hour blast rather than the four-day full Monty ¬ and boat party tickets are flying.

Anja Schneider brings a carefully selected sound to the forefront of the Get Diverted crew session. Gerd Janson appears as part of the Warm crew, along with diverse and talented DJ and producer Nick Höppner. Sub Club residents and electronic music heavyweights Harri & Domenic are back for 2014, and this time they bring along revered Glasgow DJ duo Optimo ¬ Twitch and Jonnie Wilkes ¬ spanning techno, electro and rock sounds.

Trouble Vision and Abattoir guest Hunee¹s sets pack a powerful punch. Psychemagik head up the experience Orlando Boom, with Kiwi going for it with an infectious disco style. Leon Vynehall’s eclectic music styling draws inspiration from post punk, classical, funk, disco, soul and techno, with an injection of bass. He appears with the Aus Music crew, headed up by DJ and producer Will Saul who brings a ³deep dubdisco² approach. Phonica Records brings leftfield house experimentalist Marcus Worgull and Œunclassifiable¹ artist Mr Ties. Tiger & Woods bring their distinctive live disco sound, which they call Œfuture boogie¹ to Trouble Vision, and experience the jazz-influenced house sound distinctive of Vakula. Soul-loving duo Maribou State join Mosca and T.Williams for his T.Party Movement collective. Severino appears as part of the Lovesick crew. Bradley Zero, host and programmer of Boiler Room also joins.

Kicking off on Thursday, Madera Verde and Love Glove open up the beach bar stage, before Croatia¹s finest selectors step up to takeover the woods stage until the small hours with Croatia Calling. Friday sees Abattoir get in on the beach bar action with Hunee, while Aus Music presents Leon Vynehall and Will Saul on the woods stage. Psychemagik and Kiwi take turns at the beach bar on Saturday, with Anja Schneider stepping up on the woods stage as the sun sets. Famed London club brand Corsica Studios taking the night. And closing the woods stage is UK house saviour T.Williams and his T.Party Movement, with Mosca and Maribou State. Day tickets are available for £40 here: http://stopmakingsense.eu/sms-tickets/
