Grammy Award winning DJ/producer Imanbek has teamed up with Russian house tastemaker BYOR for the sparking new single, ‘Belly Dancer.’ The release takes on Akon’s mid-2000s hit ‘Bananza,’ spinning the nostalgic, sweaty original into a modern house beat with pitched down vocals and shimmy-inducing percussion. It’s a tune for those born-again clubbers, ready to shake their booty like a ‘Belly Dancer’ – find this sure shot dancefloor heater out via Musical Freedom on February 18th.
Imanbek attained immortal status several years back, releasing his remix of Saint Jhn’s ‘Roses’ to worldwide acclaim. As an up-and-coming teenage producer from Kazakhstan, he immediately raised heads with his version, particularly when he won a Grammy with the record, becoming the first ever Grammy winner from Kazakhstan.
Since then, he’s been pushing his sound further and further, teaming up with a who’s who of the world’s greatest (including Usher and DJs like Marshmello, Afrojack and Don Diablo), while also releasing popular tracks like ‘Goodbye’ and last year’s ‘Sweet Dreams’. His new single ‘Belly Dancer’ perfectly aligns with Imanbek’s ongoing evolution, this time joining forces with BYOR, one of Russia’s hottest rising electronic acts.
As BYOR has become renowned for his deep, rhythmic house productions, underscored by hit records like 2020’s ‘Feeling Right’ and last year’s ‘Keep On Dancin’, both released on Tiësto’s Musical Freedom label, this new single perfectly blends with Imanbek’s smooth melodic approach.
‘Belly Dancer’ builds the vibe around a stirring and instantly recognisable vocal, dipping in and out sweet filtered effects, along with a cool, sturdy house beat and sweet punchy bass chords. It’s the ideal club setting, enhancing the groove with sharp percussion, twirling sounds and exotic accents, making sure a bellydance is never far away.
Leave it to Imanbek and BYOR to deliver a single that doubles as a playlist must as well as a DJ clubbing weapon as ‘Belly Dancer’ is bound to get the sweat dripping in the clubs.
We came up with this song in terms of an experiment. I’ve been always seeking for interesting collaborations with artists whose styles kinda differ from mine. So we made it happen with BYOR, one of the greatest Russian DJs in my opinion. Through combining our approaches and touching viral trends we created this one and I think it’s worth the shot!

For a long time I wanted to make some cover song, but there wasn’t the right one on my sight.
And right after I found this track that was almost forgotten, and it was like: THIS IS IT! After month when the track was finished the acapella started being viral on TikTok and it was a sign! So we decided to hurry up and start 2022 with the Big Bang together with Imanbek.
