Zulu Records latest release sees a revamp of a nineties classic, fresh with new vocals and summer-worthy finish. When you hear Opus III – It’s A Fine Day, you immediately want to reminisce back to those halcyon days and delve back into your love for 90s acid house. 24 years later, DJ Blackstone has reworked the record with a helping hand from Victoria Aiken on vocals, as well as giving Van Gelder remixing responsibilities.
Already receiving a big thumbs up from the likes of Don Diablo, Thomas Gold and Sam Divine, Zulu continue to build on their saga of up-and-coming house producers.
Supported with a brand new video, the radio edit of ‘Fine Day’ opens with deep melodic keys and a cool-as-you-like rhythm. The angelic vocals of Victoria Aitken sit perfectly within the track, demonstrating the innovative production of DJ Blackstone, whilst sticking to the roots of the original 1992 release. Close your eyes and picture yourself on a golden beach, as the delicate chimes and melodic synths turn the whole sound into an instant feel-good classic.
Van Gelder’s gives the record a club makeover with his edit.
The synth heavy track has a more aggressive feel, perfect for those hands-in-the-air moments. Playful garage build-ups lead into bass ridden melodies and classic rave stabs, making it a certain club banger.
Another triumph for Zulu Records, who continue to step up to the mark week in, week out.
