FISHER continues hot streak with new single ‘Yeah The Girls’

North London Afro-R&B talent Atueyii returns with brand-new single ‘As I Pray’, out today.

Steeped in honest emotion, ‘As I Pray’ is a powerful, heart-on-sleeve ballad pairing the singer-songwriter and producers impassioned vocals with a smooth, sunkissed Afrobeats production. Four years in the making, a music video will also follow shortly after its 1st September release and significantly, marks the first single release from his forthcoming debut EP ‘Love & War’, a 6-track body of work which is set for release on Friday 21st October, with a live showcase of the project also set to take place at Soho House Brixton on Thursday 20th October. “‘As I Pray’ is a tell-tale song of my journey as a music artist from a gritty background who hasn’t always had the door held open for him,” Atueyii explains.“Facing life-shaping situations that make me who I am today and establishing the faith I have today, this is a song for many of us who have stories to tell that might not look so pretty. So I pray as you listen, you feel inspired to keep going. Because what is life without its stories?”

A Nigeria-born, North-London-raised singer-songwriter and producer, Atueyii brings an exciting fusion of Afrobeats and R&B. Singing from as early as he can remember, and producing from the age of 15, Atueyii has dedicated many years to perfecting his self-taught musical stylings. Over time his sound has evolved, embracing a provocative blend of R&B, Afrobeats, dancehall and soul. His previous output has amassed over half a million streams and been supported by the likes of GRM Daily, Wonderland, Factory 78 and more. On the live stage, Atueyii also supported Mr Eazi, M.O and Sneakbo on Eazi’s Lagos II London Tour in 2019, with his sound set to captivate the ears of many, giving us nostalgic melodies for moments we never even had, or wish we did.
