FIXR unleashes unique free clubbing app across the capital and beyond

The new FIXR app is set to propel the Capital’s nightlife into the digital era by allowing music lovers to book tickets to a range of London’s hottest music venues and nightclubs through a single app at anytime, from anywhere.

Currently London’s partygoers are subject to long queuing times with no guarantee of entry, limited options to book tickets last minute, and have no dedicated platform across which they can chose which venue to go to based on style of music, venue or location.

The current infrastructure for nightlife in the capital is out of sync with the demographic it serves with 1 in 5 clubbers saying they can’t find clubs which play the type of music they love.

Additionally 93% of clubbers use smartphones, yet the industry relies on traditional phone and email booking systems, unreliable paper guestlists and e-tickets, which don’t allow clubbers to make spontaneous bookings and require users to print off and bring the ticket.

The FIXR app is changing all that.

How it works:
·      The free app (iOS and Android) allows users to search for the club or music venue of their choice
·      Search by location, venue or music type
·      Buy tickets via the app
·      No need to print off and bring an e-ticket
·      Gain immediate entry to the club via QR code on the user’s phone

The consumer benefits:
·      The app is free to download
·      Avoids requiring downloads of multiple apps or trawling various websites
·      Ensures entry once booking is made
·      Allows users to book spontaneously on the night as late as the club allows
·      Also ideal for early pre-bookings and planning in advance – users can search by date and see what’s going on
·      Allows users to find clubs near them by simple search map
·      Allows users to find clubs playing the music they want
·      No need to print or bring e-ticket
·      No cash, no queuing, no hassle

The stats:
·      There will be 124 million visits to nightclubs in the UK in 2013
·      17% of people don’t like the music played in the clubs they end up going to
·      93% of clubbers use smartphones
·      34% of people put off going to nightclubs because of queues
·      59% of people don’t go into a club until 11pm or after, yet are unable to book this late
·      21% of men and 30% of women decide on where to finish a night before they go out – therefore showing a desire for spontaneity. All these people are forced to queue for clubs with no guarantee of entry

FIXR is working with a diverse range of clubs and event organisers across the capital, including: Pacha, Village Underground, Ministry Of Sound, Paradise by way of Kensal Green, McQueen, Rhythm Factory and the highly popular Propaganda student night. It is aiming to add a host more in the coming weeks, with plans to expand across the UK in the New Year.
