A track written as a tribute to Tiger Records boss Gott Engels who sadly passed away last month was always going to make people sit up and take notice, but with Zulu Records regular Luca Debonaire at the helm combining standout production with incredible vocals from Troj, there’s no way ‘For Gott’ will be anything other than a serious soul-shaker.
With support coming in from all angles including the mighty Sander Van Doon, Tough Love, My Digital Enemy, Judge Jules, Sam Divine and plenty more, it’s easy to see For Gott hitting all the right spots and landing Luca Debonaire and Zulu Records yet another charting dancefloor weapon.
Soulful shaking bass, angelic vocals and perfect synth melodies are expertly mixed to supply an almost ethereal build up, followed by one of ‘those’ dance-inducing sirens and the kind of straight-up house music that has set Zulu Records leagues apart. For Gott might be one of the year’s biggest surprises from the label, but it certainly won’t be the last – expect to hear it everywhere you go across clubland over the next few months.
