Formidable Electronic Producer Deadcrow unleashes ‘Hyperdrive’ Single

Mighty Wave producer Deadcrow released his latest single ‘Hyperdrive’ on the 27th of January via Quality Goods Records. Boasting over 10 million streams on Spotify, the bass music regular has previously created a guest mix for BBC Radio 1 with Annie Nightingale, received airplay on NTS Radio, and has been supported by numerous industry publications, including EDM.com, Your EDM, thissongissick, EDM Identity, Dancing Astronaut, UKF, and Fuxwithit. On Youtube, his music has been featured on popular music channels Trap Nation, Trap City, and UKF Dubstep, which helped him become a renowned figure in the Bass music scene.

Based in Den Haag, The Netherlands, Felix Ruocco, better known as Deadcrow, is revered for his cutting-edge approach to Wave music. When he was 3 years old, he learned to play the drums. At 12, he became well-versed in Hardstyle, Drum and bass, and Dubstep, which led him to teach himself to produce electronic music on his dad’s laptop. Later, he studied production at the Herman Brood Academie in Utrecht, where he graduated in 2016. His first run of shows in 2018 saw him become the first wave artist to perform across the United States, while In recent years he caught the attention of high-profile bass artists RL Grime, Steve Aoki, Zeds Dead, Krewella, and UZ. With his special touch, Deadcrow has expanded his release catalogue to some of electronic music’s most notable labels, including Sable Valley, Deadbeats, Dim Mak, and more. Taking inspiration from Moody Good, Space Laces, and Leotrix, his music is comparable to MYSTXRIVL, Kareful, and KAVERN.

Gritty from the start, Deadcrow’s new synth-laden record ‘Hyperdrive’ is best described as potent. Powerful build-ups end in crushed drops, and villainous basslines drive with unstoppable force, shredding as they oscillate. Mid-range textures give the track its body, while harmonic layers act like subtle lifters, ensuring that its energy continues to grow from start to finish.
