Wax Motif - Forsaken EP

Australian producer Wax Motif has established himself as one of the most prominent players in the modern electronic music scene thanks to chart topping originals and his role as one of the creators of the G House sound. Citing influences from R&B, Disco, and UK bass, the producer's releases have found a welcome home on some of dance music's most influential labels including Diplo's Mad Decent, A-Trak’s Fool’s Gold, Tchami's Confession label, and Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak Records. Today, Wax Motif continues that streak with a brand new EP via AC Slater's label Night Bass.

Out today, Wax Motif's new EP 'Forsaken' relishes in the artist's penchant for the sound of UK bass. Kicking off with title track "Forsaken," the producer delves into a pulsating rhythm that is almost as foreboding as the track's menacing vocal samples. Next up, Wax Motif teams up with Brazilian producer Ricci on "Mental." A bit of a departure from "Forsaken," "Mental" is a deeper bass cut that takes clear influence from the thriving G House genre Wax Motif made famous.

If unfamiliar with Wax Motif before now, the 'Forsaken' EP represents his second release on Night Bass, the first being the label's #1 best selling single of the year: AC Slater & Chris Lorenzo's 'Fly Kicks (Wax Motif Remix.) In addition, Wax Motif is also renowned for his many viral remixes for artists across the spectrum including YG, Kid Ink, Chromeo, Deadmau5 and  Warren G, and his recognizable work on Destructo’s album on Interscope  which includes Ty Dolla Sign, YG, Freddie Gibbs,  Problem and Kurupt just to name a few.

Stay tuned for more updates to come from Wax Motif and Night Bass in 2018, and check out Wax Motif live at one of his many tour dates across Australia and New Zealand listed below.
