cln - Found

Australian producer cln releases his second EP this week, along with its third single and title-track, ‘Found’.

The endless possibilities of electronic music have always fascinated cln, and while some artists shut themselves off during the creative process, cln does the complete opposite; he opens himself up to all types of songwriting styles and techniques. All forms of interesting music inspire him to write, while all aspects of nature inspire him to explore.

“I like to go on walks in weird/remote places. I’m a bit of a nature nerd, so I’m generally looking for birds and animals. Being alone in the middle of nowhere surrounded by nothing but nature is a pretty cool feeling; so I think I subconsciously translate those feelings into my music. The earth is cool place” – cln

cln’s Found EP has been influenced by artists like Flying Lotus, Caribou, Bonobo, Odesza, Shlohmo, Gorillaz, Baths and SBTRKT, who have each discovered the innovative potential of electronic music.

“When I listen to a Flying Lotus album, it blows my mind. I make music with the hope that my music will be able to do that to someone someday – cln

Whether he knows it or not, cln creates music that impresses and inspires. His unique blends of warbling synth weave throughout seamless percussive arrangements and scattered orchestral showers. He then warps, twists and manipulates his own brooding vocals, and nestles it all into a stunning tapestry of resonating beats, resulting in a dynamic five-track collection of unique electronic soundscapes.
