Booka Shade unveil the first in a series of new Various Artist releases on Blaufield Music entitled ‘FOURTUNES’, with the first package featuring Zoo Brazil, 8Kays, A Friend Of Marcus and LENny (IT).
Booka Shade’s journey to date has seen the iconic duo release a wealth of material via some of the industry’s leading labels, whilst their own Blaufield Music imprint has also quickly become both a home for their own productions, but also a platform to support both up and coming talents and also close friends of the duo from across the world. Having recently returned to the label to deliver their two-track EP ‘The Unseen/Banderas’, 2019 will now welcome the launch of a new project on the imprint, ‘FOURTUNES’ – a fresh Various Artist series dedicated to showcasing material from some of the scene’s brightest rising names alongside established artists from within both house and techno.
Kiev’s 8Kays opens the package with the soaring ‘Rainbow’, fusing bright lead melodies amongst darker, warping undertones, whilst Italian LENny (IT) works rich soundscapes, refined drum shots and deep bass tones throughout his contribution ‘Bellariah’. Next, ‘The Distant Water Beyond’ sees Australian producer A Friend Of Marcus reveal a series of entrancing arpeggios and vivid sonics, before house favourite Zoo Brazil, a long time friend from the duo’s Get Physical days, completes the EP with the infectious and hypnotic ‘Maxwell’.
FOURTUNES 1 is out on Blaufield Music on 19th July 2019.
