Manchester MC Fox has unveiled new single ‘Walk Out’, produced by Bristol DJ and producer DLR and Belgian favourite Alix Perez, out 4th June on The North Quarter.
An invigorating dose of high-energy D&B, ‘Walk Out’ pairs sparse, menacing production with Fox’s similarly up-front, rapid-fire patois vocals. It marks the first single release from Fox’s forthcoming album Squang Dang In The Key Of Vibes, a diverse LP drawing on everything from D&B and UKG to soul and hip-hop, out 2nd July.
Born in Manchester, bred in Jamaica, Fox is an MC that operates at the top level of the UK bass music scene, as part of LEVELZ and as a host at Swing Ting and The North Quarter events. He has previously recorded with a long list of revered artists, such as Calibre, IAMDDB, My Nu Leng, Lenzman, Zed Bias, Tyler Daley, Equiknoxx and others.
Bristol DJ and producer DLR is one of the most prolific artists on the scene, dropping a slew of releases on the likes of Dispatch Recordings, Metalheadz, and his own Sofa Sounds imprint. Fellow collaborator Alix Perez is the man behind the prominent 1985 Music label and one of the most respected producers on the circuit.
The first single release from Fox’s forthcoming album, ‘Walk Out’ is a D&B cut that’s made for the dancefloor and remains one of the most sought-after dubplates from the last 18 months.
