Italy-based Francesco Ferraro has been carving out his niche in dance music for the last two decades, adopting various monikers and clocking up remix credits for the likes of Depeche Mode, Moby and Basement Jaxx. Debuting on Junior Jack’s Adesso Music, he links with fellow countrymen dAPULEO and Renda across their collaborative ‘Badass Baile’ EP.
First up, ‘Ella Baila Sola’ sees Ferraro link up with dAPULEO, who has credits on the likes of Rousch and Dopewax, as the pair deliver a seven-minute dancefloor workout merging kinetic percussion, vocal yelps and wonky synth work. Next, Ferraro is joined by up-and-coming producer Renda for the low-end grumbling ‘Badass Samba’ – a steamy tech house groove with a nagging lead, plenty of rich FX, and distorted vocal coos that will keep the floor moving all hours of the night.
