Franck Roger returns to his Home Invasion imprint this May to deliver ‘HI015’, with two new solo cuts and a remix from Chris Carrier under his ‘Mr. Georget’ alias.
Having headed up revered label Real Tone Records, and with a discography including releases on the likes of Dj Deep’s Deeply Rooted, Innervisions and Planet E, Franck Roger has firmly established himself as a leading figure within the world of House. Predominantly a home for his own releases, ‘Home Invasion 015’ serves as the start of a new project for Franck welcoming a series of guest producers to the imprint to deliver a remix on each release, kicking things off with fellow French house icon Chris Carrier.
“The idea was to give our favourite remixers the freedom to choose one of the tracks that they really like from the label. Mr. Georget gave us a deep and hypnotic feeling on this one and we love it here.” – Franck Roger
Opening up the EP, ‘809’ fluently fuses crisp 808 hits with rugged bumpy 909 patterns whilst working rich synths and delicate background nuances, whilst ‘Bugz’ utilizes fine MPC work and swirling effects to unveil a smooth, heady groove seamlessly accented by rich pads.
On the flip, Carrier’s ‘Mr. Georget’ remix of Yabba kicks of the Remix Series in fine style by employing intricate percussion patterns and bubbling blips and sonics, revealing a deep and hypnotic journey that punctuates an impressive package from the Parisian duo.
Franck Roger feat. Mr. Georget ‘Home Invasion 015’ is out on 3rd May 2017.
