Franky Wah To New York For His First Stateside SHÈN Showcase

Grey Area is bringing globally renowned progressive house & melodic techno star Franky Wah stateside for his biggest ever label showcase. This unmissable SHÈN special will be an immersive showcase of his singular sounds and takes place in New York at the historic former door factory Knockdown Center on April 28th. A carefully curated line-up of friends and peers is to come and you can register for pre-sale tickets now at https://bit.ly/FrankyKDCJB
Franky Wah has become one of the most visible breakout artists in the world over the last few years. He’s played epic shows everywhere from Factory Town with Carl Cox to Printworks with Afterlife and has served up plenty of fresh tunes on Eric Prydz’s PRYDA Presents, Anjunadeep, and Sasha’s Last Night On Earth.
The last year has seen him launch his already widely acclaimed SHÈN Recordings label with a string of superb singles and a standout album, This is SHÈN, featuring almost 30 new tracks, a collaboration with Sasha and everything from breakbeats to progressive to vocal house all making it an impressive body of work. SHÈN is a Chinese term that refers to heaven and the human spirit. Those spine tingling, deeply meaningful vibes are what Franky captures in the music he is now playing and releasing, casting real spells on all who hear it.
Says Franky, “My first ever sold out headline US show was in New York so it felt only right to bring the first SHÈN US showcase back to the city.  I feel such a connection to New York and the people here that have welcomed me and my music so it’s an honour to be able to curate this SHÈN showcase right where my US journey began.”
At this much anticipated showcase, expect to be immersed deep into his unique sound world at the vast and legendary Knockdown Center, a 50,000 square-foot building with a rich industrial history. Since its days manufacturing doors it has undergone a renovation that is equal parts preservationist and state of the art and now it hosts cultural events and exhibitions that respond to its unique architecture and dimensions. For this event you can expect cutting edge light, sounds and audio visual installations to make it an unforgettable one-off party in a truly unique space.
Gray Area’s two previous parties with Franky Wah sold out in advance and this one, the largest ever, will do too – so move quickly to secure your place on the dance floor.
