Maya Schenk - Fraud Check EP

Maya Schenk returns to her recently launched Henri Records imprint on the 8th July with the ‘Fraud Check’ EP, comprising two original compositions from the rising producer and DJ.

German born, Swiss raised and now London based artist Maya Schenk recently launched her very own Henri Records imprint following material for the likes of Nervous Records and CR2, and the inaugural EP on the label garnered support from BBC 6 Music’s Nemone, contemporary house acts like Isaac Tichauer, and Severino as well as revered Tech House artists like Terry Francis and Tedd Patterson, setting the tone perfectly for what’s to come as the label progresses.

Up first is title track ‘Fraud Check’ which marries emotive chords and robust rhythms layered on a bed snaking sub bass grooves, the result is haunting slice of techno aimed squarely at the dance floor while functioning as a great addition to home playlists also.

Following is ‘Naked’ is Maya's homage to German DJ and producer, Düse. With sonic nods to dub reggae blended with sturdy percussion and rugged bass, alongside a searing flanged lead and sinister percussive hits, stripping big-room sounds down to its core essence.

Maya Schenk’s ‘Fraud Check’ EP is out on Henri Records 8th July 2016.
